The Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT) modifies the Community Health Information Tracking System (CHITS) and roll-out Wireless Access for Health platform

Pey Canlas (right), who manages the Wireless Access for Health Program in Tarlac province, helps train a team of nurses at the Tarlac Provincial Hospital on implementing the Community Health Information Tracking System (CHITS). This team will then go on to train nurses and midwives at the rural health units. Looking on are nurse-trainees Karen Mae Balot (left) and Mary Ann Pacy Sicangco (center).

The PGT scales up WAH in the whole province and creates a permanent project management team of nurses and IT professionals.

Upon reaching the 100th clinic mark, the Initiative has shifted focus to sustaining the organization in terms of technology, operations, and management. The first set of memorandum of agreements with local government units were released and signed this year.
